Countries/Regions That Can Drive with an Official Japanese Translation
The following licenses may be used in Japan when accompanied by the original driver’s license and an official Japanese translation issued by JAF or the relevant embassy/consulate.

- Belgium
- Switzerland
- Monaco
- Taiwan
Main Countries/Regions Not Permitted to Drive in Japan
- Mainland China
- Vietnam
- Indonesia
- Brazil
- Mexico
- Saudi Arabia
- Qatar
Licenses and/or International Driving Permits issued in the countries/regions listed above are not valid in Japan.
Therefore, we are unable to accept reservations from customers holding licenses issued in these countries/regions.

Validity Period
- Up to 1 year from the date of entry into Japan
- Until the expiration date of the license or permit
